| VITEBSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Students from Vitebsk and Chashniki (Vitebsk Oblast) have become the prize-winners of the Zhores Alferov Fund for Support of Education and Science, BelTA learnt from Valentina Shirokova, director of Vitebsk gymnasium No1.
The main goal of the fund is the support of fundamental research in physics. The material base of the fund is a part of the Nobel Prize which was presented to Zhores Alferov in 2000. |

| VITEBSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The Vitebsk-based company Simurg intends to put a CE mark on all its medical products in 2010, BelTA learnt from deputy director of the company Oleg Akhtanin.
At present, the company puts CE marking on 60% of the produced medical goods. To expand the use of the CE marking, Simurg is preparing to certify its quality management system in conformity with the ISO 13485 standard which is the special standard for the medical goods produced in Europe. |

| MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – A charitable photo-exhibition, Soul of Serbia, will open in the Vitebsk religious school on 12 December. The exposition will display 45 works of well-known Serbian photographer Darko Dozet, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Serbian center.
The photo-exhibition will stay open till 11 January 2010. Then it will be held in other towns of Belarus.
Besides, Vitebsk will also host an event to commemorate Patriarch Pavle of Serbia who deceased on 15 November 2009. |
